Job Description

We are supporting a regional bank to hire for a Client Onboarding Specialist position within their Operations team. The role will be responsible for supporting client onboarding, account opening documentation review, customer due diligence checks, periodic reviews and static data maintenance for new and existing clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct CDD and documentation reviews for new account openings and periodic reviews
  • Ensure all onboarding and account review processes are completed in line with MAS regulations, internal policies and group requirements
  • Review account opening documents and follow up on outstanding or deficient CDD information
  • Work closely with business teams and internal stakeholders to resolve onboarding or documentation matters
  • Support CIF and account set-up / maintenance for customers
  • Perform customer static data updates and ensure client records are accurate and properly maintained
  • Review daily customer database screening alerts and escalate where required
  • Prepare account opening and KYC review statistics for management reporting
  • Support control-related matters including audit requests, dormant account management and returned mail handling
  • Handle physical documentation review, record keeping, storage and archival
  • Participate in SOP reviews, process improvement initiatives, system upgrades, UAT and other ad-hoc projects

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in CDD, client onboarding, KYC reviews and customer static data maintenance within banking
  • Prior experience supporting corporate banking and/or private wealth management clients will be advantageous
  • Good understanding of AML/CFT requirements and MAS regulations
  • Experience in account opening documentation review and client data maintenance
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage deadlines
  • Experience with banking systems such as Flexcube and Avaloq will be advantageous
  • Good communication skills and able to liaise with internal stakeholders and Head Office teams
