A leading global asset manager is seeking for an experienced Client Onboarding Manager to oversee day-to-day client onboarding and change activity in Singapore office, with a focus on unit trusts and other pooled fund structures. This role ensures smooth operational delivery across onboarding, lifecycle events, documentation and governance, while maintaining strong controls and a high-quality client experience.
Less experienced candidate will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end client implementation activities, including onboarding, ongoing due diligence and client change requests.
- Plan and prioritise workflows, allocate tasks, manage deadlines and resolve operational issues and escalations across internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee transitions and lifecycle events for unit trusts and other pooled funds, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all activities.
- Manage client documentation, AML/KYC and related governance processes to ensure compliance and robust control.
- Ensure client agreements, fee terms and service arrangements are properly set up and maintained in line with internal standards.
- Monitor service delivery from transfer agents, distributors, platforms and other providers to support a strong client experience.
- Operate within regulatory, policy and risk frameworks, leading remediation of issues, errors and near misses when required.
- Review workflow, capacity, risk and performance data and drive continuous improvement in processes and controls.
- Lead, coach and develop team members to build a resilient, high-performing function.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in client implementation, onboarding, transfer agency, fund operations or similar roles within the asset or investment management industry.
- Proven track record managing BAU delivery in a regulated environment under tight deadlines and changing business demands.
- Strong understanding of the full client lifecycle, including onboarding, AML/KYC, OCDD, client changes and documentation governance.
- Good knowledge of Singapore unit trust structures, distributor and platform models, and the associated operational processes.
- Experience overseeing fund transitions, service providers and client documentation, with high attention to detail and strong risk awareness.
- Demonstrated experience managing issues, controls and process improvements within an established risk framework.
- Prior people management experience, with the ability to coach and motivate a team.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to interact effectively with internal and external parties.
