Client-Facing Market Strategist (energy commodities)

We are hiring a client-facing market strategist, ideally with experience in the (energy) commodities markets who can operate across two layers:

• Writing daily insightful market reports, blog posts, LinkedIn content and newsletters through the lens of systematic trading and technical analysis
• Client-facing trading methodology implementation, onboarding, sales support, live seminars and education sessions

This is neither a pure research role, nor a pure client role. You will create proprietary insights and make them palatable for our busy institutional trader clients.

You will become the face of the company. When clients think of Clever Markets, they will probably associate you with it.

About Clever Markets

Clever Markets embeds technical analysis methodologies for institutional energy trading desks. We combine proprietary quantitative signals with classic technical analysis to help energy trading teams make consistent, repeatable decisions.

We started out as the underdog in 2023 and are now helping some of the world's largest energy trading firms with structured TA systems that drive real trading outcomes.

We are now looking for our fourth addition to the founding team.

Responsibilities

• Write daily sharp, engaging and actionable technical analysis reports for the European energy markets. Master our methodology and proprietary indicators.
• Take ownership of educational social media content: newsletter, daily LinkedIn posts, webinars, blogs
• Lead onboarding and TA audits for institutional trading teams
• Run live technical analysis academy tutorials and implementation sessions
• Answer technical client questions clearly and confidently
• Conduct structured post-onboarding reviews with clients
• Plan and host regular client-facing webinars, explaining the latest market developments in line with our methodology

Requirements

• You must be comfortable explaining quantitative logic to traders under scrutiny.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• CMT, CFTe, STA diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in commodities markets (energy preferred)
• Experience building or maintaining quantitative signals
• High ownership mindset
• Comfortable working with real commercial pressure
• Financial modelling, backtesting, strategy coding strongly preferred

What This Role Is Not

• Not a junior research internship
• Not a pure academic modelling role
• Not a support desk position
• Not a passive reporting role
• Not a 9 to 5

You will own meaningful systems and speak directly to institutional clients.

Compensation and benefits

• Type: contract (first one-year, then longer-term)
• Location: fully remote, you can be based anywhere in the world but have to work EU and Asia time zones
