Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:
    Oversee cleaning operations across designated sites, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
    Develop and implement cleaning schedules, along with site-specific procedures.
    Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and relevant legislation.
  2. Staff Supervision & Development:
    Recruit, train, and manage cleaning supervisors and operatives.
    Conduct regular performance reviews and foster staff development.
    Address staffing issues such as absenteeism, performance, and disciplinary matters.
  3. Client & Stakeholder Relations:
    Maintain strong relationships with clients and site managers.
    Respond promptly to client feedback and resolve any service issues.
    Attend regular client meetings and provide operational reports as needed.
  4. Quality Control:
    Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor cleaning standards.
    Implement corrective actions when necessary to ensure high-quality service.
    Establish and maintain quality assurance systems for consistent service delivery.
  5. Budget & Resource Management:
    Manage labor and supply costs to stay within budget.
    Order and manage cleaning supplies and equipment efficiently.
    Prepare operational reports that include cost tracking and forecasting.
  6. Health & Safety:
    Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
    Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to COSHH regulations.
    Promote a strong safety culture within the cleaning teams.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the cleaning or facilities management industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
