Position Summary

The Class 4 Driver cum Delivery Assistant is responsible for the safe transportation, delivery, positioning, and basic handling of heavy commercial kitchen equipment to customer sites across Singapore. The role requires close coordination with the operations, project, and technical teams to ensure timely and professional fulfilment of delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Logistics

• Operate Class 4 vehicles in compliance with Singapore traffic regulations and company safety policies.

• Perform daily vehicle inspections, cleanliness checks, and basic preventive maintenance.

• Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet daily delivery schedules.

• Maintain accurate delivery records, delivery orders (DO), and proof-of-delivery documentation.

Delivery & On-Site Handling

• Load, unload, and safely position commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, chillers, dishwashers, hoods, and stainless-steel fabrications.

• Assist technicians and installers with on-site equipment movement, unpacking, debris removal, and site coordination.

• Ensure equipment is properly protected, strapped, and handled to prevent damage.

Warehouse Support

• Assist with packing, labelling, inventory movement, and housekeeping within the warehouse.

• Conduct stock verification and support periodic stock takes when required.

Customer & Site Coordination

• Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers, consultants, main contractors, and site personnel.

• Escalate site issues such as access constraints, unsafe conditions, or damaged goods to the Operations Manager promptly.

Compliance & Safety

• Adhere strictly to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.

• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Report incidents, near-misses, or vehicle faults immediately.

Requirements

• Valid Singapore Class 4 Driving Licence with clean driving record.

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in delivery or logistics, preferably in commercial kitchen equipment or construction-related industries.

• Physically fit and able to handle heavy equipment.

• Familiar with Singapore road networks and construction sites.

• Basic literacy in English for reading delivery orders and site instructions.

• Willing to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required.

• Possession of WSQ Workplace Safety and Health certification is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8.30am - 6pm

• Saturday: 8.30am - 12.30pm (when required)

• Overtime as per operational requirements.
