Process and manage claims under the Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) and Hospital & Surgical policies accurately and within agreed service standards
Liaise with policyholders, intermediaries, investigators, surveyors, loss adjusters, legal representatives, third-party claimants, and related stakeholders
Provide guidance to junior team members and claims support staff
Ensure fair and equitable settlement of valid claims in accordance with policy terms and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate and timely claims reserves
Compile claims statistics and management reports as required
Support underwriters by highlighting issues identified during claims handling (e.g. policy wording gaps, risk improvement opportunities)
Attend regulatory meetings with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) when required
Conduct periodic file reviews to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
Pursue and follow up on recovery claims where applicable
Perform any other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Insurance, Business, or a related discipline
Professional insurance qualifications such as:
Certified General Insurance (CGI)
Health Insurance (HI) certification
Or equivalent professional insurance qualification
Minimum 2 years of relevant claims handling experience
Good understanding of insurance principles and claims processes
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
Team player with a conscientious, tactful, and customer-focused approach
Willingness to learn and continuously develop professionally
