Claims & Demurrage Analyst (Oil & Gas Trading)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Claims & Demurrage Analyst to join our dynamic team at an oil giant. The Demurrage Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and managing demurrage-related activities associated with the company's oil trading operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of demurrage concepts, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with ship owners for claims, maintain a pro-active approach and endeavor to maximize the savings by countering intelligently.
• Handle and calculate demurrage claim and review & improve existing system to enhance performance productivity.
• Work closely with trading and other teams in monitoring demurrage payables and receivables.
• Responsible to resolve disputes with counterparties.
• Provide reports on claims record to the management.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain with 2 years experience in shipping or commodities industry
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to multi-task and meet tight schedules.
• Meticulous and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
