Civil & Structure (C&S) Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate C&S design matters between consultants, contractors, and project teams
- Review and coordinate structural drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and calculations
- Identify and resolve clashes or discrepancies between Architectural, M&E, and C&S works
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes of practice, and authority requirements
Site Coordination & Supervision
- Monitor site progress of civil and structural works to ensure quality and compliance
- Coordinate site activities with subcontractors
- Assist in resolving site technical issues and provide engineering solutions
- Attend site inspections, technical meetings, and coordination meetings
Consultant & Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with consultants, client representatives, and other specialists/sub-contractors
- Coordinate RFIs and ensure timely responses from consultants
- Assist in resolving design changes and site issues
Authority Submissions & Compliance
- Coordinate with consultants on submissions to authorities
- Ensure works comply with approved plans, statutory requirements, and safety regulations
- Assist in inspections and respond to authority comments
Quality, Safety & Documentation
- Ensure civil and structural works comply with quality standards and project requirements
- Review inspection checklists, test reports, and as-built drawings
- Maintain proper documentation for approvals, inspections, and handover
- Support compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements
Project Support
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and progress reporting
- Coordinate with consultants during design development and construction stages
- Support project handover and defect rectification related to C&S works
Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or equivalent
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Singapore construction projects
- Experience in residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments preferred
- Familiarity with local authority requirements and inspection processes is essential.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Good understanding of civil and structural construction methods
- Able to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office AutoCAD. BIM knowledge is an advantage
- Able to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with design coordination in BIM environments
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
