About the Role
We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Civil & Structural Engineer to support the delivery of cable transmission infrastructure projects. The role involves overseeing civil and structural works related to cable laying, ducting systems, trenches, manholes, and associated infrastructure to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret civil and structural drawings, particularly for cable transmission systems (e.g. trenching, ducting, manholes, cable support structures)
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on technical and site matters
- Supervise and monitor site works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications
- Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control for civil and structural works
- Provide technical support and resolve site issues related to ground conditions, structural integrity, and installation constraints
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and technical submissions
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones
- Coordinate with relevant authorities (e.g. LTA, PUB, SP Group) for approvals and inspections
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety policies
- Assist in managing variations, claims, and project documentation
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3-6 years of relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects
- Experience in cable transmission, utilities, power, or underground infrastructure projects will be a strong advantage
- Familiar with trenching, excavation, earthworks, and underground services coordination
- Knowledge of Singapore codes, standards, and authority requirements
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and site coordination
- Good communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills
- Able to work independently and manage site operations effectively

Working Hours
5 or 5.5-day work week depending on project requirements
