Job Summary
Perform structural design and analysis while supporting project coordination, authority submissions, and BIM processes to deliver compliant, efficient engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Produce civil and structural designs that comply with project specifications and regulatory requirements to ensure safe and effective construction outcomes
- Participate in BIM workflows to coordinate design integration and enhance multidisciplinary collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges throughout project phases
- Manage and track authority submissions to secure timely approvals and maintain project schedules
- Conduct design reviews and site inspections to verify compliance and quality of engineering works
- Prepare detailed engineering design reports, technical documentation, and project records to support project delivery and compliance
- Support design workshops and project meetings by providing technical input and facilitating resolution of design issues
- Liaise with project teams during implementation to uphold design quality and ensure adherence to design intent
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent recognised by PEB or relevant diploma with design experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in building design
- Understanding of local codes and authority submission procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in engineering design and BIM software to produce accurate and coordinated designs
Preferred competencies
- Experience in precast concrete and steel design to enhance structural design capabilities
- Proactive, responsible attitude with eagerness to upskill and contribute to continuous improvement
