Job Summary
Perform civil and structural engineering design and analysis for projects, collaborating across disciplines and managing authority submissions to deliver innovative, compliant, and buildable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Execute civil and structural engineering design and analysis to meet project requirements and regulatory standards
- Participate actively in the BIM process to enhance design coordination and project delivery efficiency
- Collaborate effectively with peers and multidisciplinary consultants to integrate engineering solutions
- Coordinate, monitor, and track authority submissions to ensure timely compliance with local codes and procedures
- Participate and perform design options review and site inspections to assess project viability and inform design decisions
- Prepare technical reports to document findings and support project progress
- Contribute to meetings and design workshops to resolve design challenges and align project objectives
- Liaise with engineers and consultant teams during project implementation to ensure design intent and quality standards are maintained
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent recognized by the Professional Engineer Board, Singapore, or a diploma holder with relevant design experience
- Minimum 2 years of design experience in building projects
- Proficiency in local codes and latest authority submission procedures
- Competence in engineering design software, analytical tools, and BIM software
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in precast concrete and steelwork design
- Proactive and responsible team player with eagerness to upskill and engage in all aspects of project delivery
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
