He has contributed to the continuing education committee of the PE Board, Singapore, and served as Treasurer of the Singapore Concrete Institute. He is also a Chartered Management Accountant, UK.

Job Summary

Lead and execute engineering studies and design for civil infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with authority codes and standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative, compliant, and timely engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive engineering studies to analyze civil infrastructure project requirements and guide design decisions and project planning
• Develop civil, structural, infrastructure, and underground engineering designs that comply with current authority codes, standards, and submission requirements
• Coordinate design activities with Quality Planning Department (QPD), Quality Project Supervision (QPS), clients, and authorities to secure approvals and ensure effective supervision on site
• Manage and collaborate with internal design disciplines and sub-consultants to produce accurate design calculations, drawings, and technical reports for client and authority submissions
• Communicate design concepts, alternatives, and technical information clearly and persuasively to clients and approving agencies to facilitate timely design approvals and project progress
• Apply interpersonal skills to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment on project objectives
• Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve design and project challenges, ensuring solutions meet quality and compliance standards
• Demonstrate technical competency and project management capabilities to deliver projects within defined scope, schedule, and quality requirements

Required competencies and certifications

• Possess Registered Engineer (RE) qualifications as mandated by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Hold additional certifications in data analytics, Building Information Modeling (BIM), or proficiency in relevant design software such as STAAD, Plaxis, Python, and SQL
• Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of design experience in civil and infrastructure-related works 8 years for managerial roles
