Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee and manage civil and special projects involving site preparation, demolition, exhumation, and reinterment works.
The role focuses on ensuring effective project execution, regulatory compliance, and adherence to operational processes, while maintaining sensitivity to cultural and religious practices where applicable.
This is a site-based role, and the candidate is expected to be regularly present on-site to support coordination, supervision, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and manage project execution from initiation through completion
- Develop and implement work plans covering:Tree cutting (to stump level)Demolition of structuresExhumation, shrouding, and reinterment processes
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and resources to meet project timelines
- Monitor site progress, address operational issues, and ensure works are completed according to schedule
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and relevant authority requirements
- Liaise with government agencies, stakeholders, and members of the public to facilitate project execution
- Maintain proper documentation, including work records, progress reports, and photographic records
- Implement and monitor systems for identification, tracking, and verification of exhumed remains
- Ensure all works are carried out with appropriate consideration for cultural and religious sensitivities
- Supervise site teams and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or construction projects
- Experience in site-based project management is preferred
- Possess valid Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) certification
- Strong project management, coordination, and administrative skills
- Experience in documentation, reporting, and project lifecycle management
- Ability to engage and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Familiarity with relevant cultural or religious practices is an advantage
- Able to work in a site-based environment and support on-site project activities as required
