Civil Engineer

Overview

Our Client is a branch, representing a China-based construction and engineering group, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support and manage building construction, HDB upgrading, project development, and renovation works. The ideal candidate must have solid hands-on experience in Singapore, for new development, and A&A projects, and be familiar with local construction codes, authority submission procedures, and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management and Execution

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee building construction, renovation, A&A and renovation works in line with project specifications, guidelines, and approved drawings.

• Manage daily site activities including scheduling, manpower planning, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.

• Track project progress to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality-compliant completion.

Quotation and Cost Duties

• Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for projects.

• Conduct site assessments to support accurate pricing and evaluate work scopes.

• Source and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitiveness and cost efficiency.

• Assist the management team in budgeting, variation order pricing, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure all site works meet WSH regulations, HDB requirements, and company safety protocols.

• Support safety teams in implementing safety measures, conducting toolbox meetings, and maintaining site safety standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Singapore involving HDB construction, upgrading, repair, A&A, or renovation work.

• Strong understanding of Singapore Codes of Practice, regulatory guidelines, and authority submission processes.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.

• Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder-handling abilities.

• Able to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced project environments.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, and engineering-related software is advantageous.
