CIVIL ENGINEER (BUILDING CONSTRUCTION)

To ensure the safe, efficient, and quality delivery of building construction projects in compliance with BCA, MOM, and company standards.2. Scope of WorkThis role covers planning, execution, and supervision of building construction projects from foundation to handover.3. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Project Planning & DesignReview architectural and structural drawings, BOQ, and specificationsPrepare method statements, work programs, and material schedulesCoordinate with architects, M&E engineers, and consultantsB. Site Execution & SupervisionSupervise site activities: foundation, RC works, precast kerb & drain laying, structural works, finishingEnsure work is done according to approved drawings and BCA codesConduct site inspections and quality control checksC. Safety & ComplianceEnforce MOM WSH regulations and site safety protocolsConduct toolbox meetings and risk assessmentsEnsure PPE compliance and incident reportingD. Cost & Resource ManagementMonitor manpower, material, and equipment usage to control costCoordinate subcontractors and suppliersSupport in-house training to reduce reliance on migrant labor and improve productivityE. Documentation & ReportingMaintain site records, RFIs, NCRs, progress reportsLiaise with BCA, PUB, and other authorities for inspectionsPrepare handover documents and as-built drawings4. Required QualificationsEducation: Degree/Diploma in Civil EngineeringExperience: 2-5 years in building construction projectsCertifications: BCA CoreTrade / Safety Course an advantageSkills: Knowledge of BCA, SS, CP codesProficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, NavisworksLeadership, problem-solving, and communication skills5.
