Civil Engineer

The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and overseeing civil and structural engineering works for construction and infrastructure projects in Singapore. The role ensures that projects comply with statutory regulations, safety standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.

Key responsibilities include:

Prepare and review civil and structural engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications.

Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and technical evaluations.

Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, design standards, and safety regulations.

Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities (e.g., BCA, LTA, PUB, NEA).

Monitor project progress, costs, and schedules resolve technical and site-related issues.

Ensure adherence to Singapore codes of practice, MOM workplace safety regulations, and quality management systems.

Prepare engineering reports, method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation.

Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and junior engineers.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a recognized institution.

Minimum 2-5 years of relevant civil engineering experience in construction, infrastructure, or engineering consultancy projects.

Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and Singapore building codes and standards.

Experience in project coordination, site supervision, and technical problem-solving.

Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, structural analysis software).

Good understanding of workplace safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance in Singapore.

Strong communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
