Job Description
We are seeking passionate and dynamic Circus Arts Instructors to conduct engaging enrichment programmes in primary schools under MOE. The programme introduces students to circus arts as a fun and holistic learning platform to develop confidence, teamwork, creativity, and physical coordination.
As an instructor, you will:
- Conduct hands-on sessions in circus skills such as juggling, balancing, diabolo, plate-spinning, and basic acrobatics (non-dangerous, age-appropriate).
- Guide students through progressive lesson plans, ensuring both skill development and enjoyment.
- Foster values such as perseverance, resilience, focus, and teamwork through circus activities.
- Ensure classroom safety and manage equipment during sessions.
- Prepare lesson reflections and provide feedback to the programme coordinator.
- Serve as a positive role model who inspires creativity, confidence, and a love for learning.
Requirements
- MOE-registered Instructor (or in the process of registration).
- Background in performing arts, physical education, gymnastics, dance, drama, or circus arts (experience with juggling, balancing props, or stage movement is an advantage).
- Prior experience teaching or facilitating enrichment/CCA programmes with children (Primary/Secondary).
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage large groups (approx. 30-40 students).
- Energetic, creative, and adaptable teaching style to cater to diverse learners.
- Good communication skills in English (ability to use simple Mandarin is a plus).
- Responsible, punctual, and able to commit to the programme schedule (usually conducted during school hours).
