Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Chinese to English Translator / Proofreader based in Singapore, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves translating complex materials from Chinese to English while ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness. Additional responsibilities include proofreading translated materials, providing quality assurance, and collaborating with team members to ensure consistency and clarity in translations. The Translator/Proofreader will also support client communication and deliver projects on time while adhering to professional standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Translation and English Translation, with a focus on accuracy and cultural nuance
- Skilled in Writing and Communication to articulate ideas clearly and effectively
- Experience with Interpreting in business, legal, or technical contexts is a plus
- Strong proofreading and editing abilities to ensure quality and consistency
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Fluency in both Chinese and English, with native-level proficiency in English
- Relevant experience in translation, interpretation, or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field
