Chinese Language Teacher (Secondary – Cambridge Curriculum)

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Chinese Language to Secondary students (Cambridge IGCSE / Lower Secondary levels)
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Cambridge curriculum standards
• Develop lesson materials, assessments, and learning resources
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support
• Support students in developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in Mandarin
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school events

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Language, Education, or related field
• Teaching qualification (e.g. PGDE / equivalent preferred)
• Experience teaching Chinese at Secondary level (Cambridge curriculum experience is an advantage)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for teaching and developing bilingual learners
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners

Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE Chinese / Foreign Language Chinese syllabus
• Experience in international or bilingual school environment
• Strong ICT skills for teaching and learning integration
