Job Summary
You will design and deliver age-appropriate lessons based on our in-house curriculum, fostering a safe and nurturing environment that supports children's academic, social, and emotional growth. Collaborate with colleagues, families, and administrators to ensure a holistic learning experience while monitoring developmental milestones and maintaining clear communication with parents.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to children aged 18 months to 6 years using the in-house curriculum to promote curiosity and learning
- Foster a safe, creative, and nurturing classroom environment that supports children's academic, social, and emotional development
- Adapt and innovate teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs and enhance student engagement
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and school administrators to coordinate a comprehensive learning journey for each child
- Observe and assess children's developmental milestones and communicate progress regularly and transparently with parents and guardians
- Ensure adherence to school policies and compliance with Singapore Ministry of Education regulations
- Apply project-based learning techniques to enrich educational experiences and outcomes
- Utilize educational development techniques and best practices to support children's growth and learning
- Communicate clearly and manage the classroom environment to maintain an effective and positive learning space
- Build trust and collaboration by engaging with children, families, and team members through strong interpersonal skills
- Apply a solution-oriented mindset to adapt teaching strategies and respond effectively to classroom challenges
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education - Teaching (DECCE-T)
- Certified by ECDA as an L1/L2 Teacher
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in project-based learning
- Solid knowledge of educational development techniques and practices
