Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chinese Cuisine Chef to lead kitchen operations and deliver authentic, high-quality Chinese dishes. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, kitchen management, food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of Chinese cuisine dishes including wok-fried dishes, soups, roasted items, seafood, and specialty regional dishes.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, taste, and presentation of all food served.
  • Develop and improve menu offerings based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
  • Manage daily kitchen operations including food preparation, inventory, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and minimize wastage.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety in compliance with local regulations.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff and kitchen assistants.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and ensure proper storage of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
  • Work closely with management to improve kitchen efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Handle high-volume service periods while maintaining food quality and timely delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chinese Cuisine Chef or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking methods, ingredients, sauces, and regional cuisines.
  • Skilled in wok cooking, knife handling, and food preparation techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long working hours.
  • Culinary certification or relevant training is an advantage.
