We are seeking a hands-on Chiller Plant Maintenance Engineer with strong technical knowledge and practical experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting central chilled water systems. The role involves preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, system optimization, and liaison with end-users and clients to ensure reliable and efficient plant operation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Chiller Plant Operations & Maintenance
. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on water-cooled / air-cooled chillers (centrifugal, screw, scroll).
. Maintain chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps, and cooling towers.
. Carry out daily, weekly, monthly, and annual PM activities in accordance with OEM and client requirements.
. Ensure safe start-up, shutdown, and seasonal changeover of chiller plants.
2. Troubleshooting & Diagnosis
. Diagnose and rectify chiller trips, alarms, and performance issues.
. Troubleshoot pump cavitation, vibration, and flow problems.
. Interpret chiller controller alarms, BMS trends, and operating data.
. Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
3. System Performance & Optimization
. Monitor plant efficiency (kW/RT, COP, Delta-T).
. Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and operational improvement.
. Support energy audits and optimization initiatives.
4. Client & End-User Liaison
. Act as technical point of contact with end-users and facility managers.
. Communicate clearly on system issues and maintenance activities.
. Attend site meetings and respond to operational queries.
5. Documentation & Reporting
. Maintain preventive maintenance records and service logs.
. Prepare breakdown and performance reports.
. Assist in preparing technical recommendations.
Requirements & Qualifications:
. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or Building Services.
. Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in chiller plant maintenance.
. Strong knowledge of chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and HVAC systems.
. Experience with BMS or chiller control systems preferred.
