Job Summary
In consultation with the Lead Pastor, provide leadership to teachers and helpers in the children's ministry. Oversee curriculum development, resource management, recruitment, and training of lay teachers. Communicate with parents to nurture children's faith and support ministry programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide teachers and helpers to deliver engaging children's ministry programs that foster faith growth
- Develop and implement the Children's Discipleship curriculum to achieve spiritual development and learning outcomes
- Manage resource materials to ensure timely availability and suitability for ministry activities
- Recruit and train lay teachers to build and maintain a skilled and committed teaching team
- Communicate regularly with parents to nurture children's faith and encourage active participation in ministry programs
- Plan and execute ad hoc programs such as Children's camps and outreach events to increase ministry impact
- Provide ministry support to the Domestic Helpers Fellowship to enhance community engagement
- Adapt to additional ministry assignments as needed to support evolving organizational goals
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or degree from a tertiary institution or theological college
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated through effective collaboration with children and parents
- Outgoing personality with a willingness to engage actively with children and their families
