Job Scope:
1. Cooking Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for children based on the center's menu and dietary requirements.
- Ensure food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations (e.g., NEA guidelines).
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
- Plan grocery lists and assist in purchasing food supplies as needed.
- Label and store food properly to avoid spoilage and cross-contamination.
- Cater to special dietary needs, food allergies, or religious dietary restrictions where necessary.
2. Cleaning Responsibilities:
- Clean classrooms, toilets, pantry, and common areas daily to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Sanitize toys, furniture, and frequently touched surfaces regularly.
- Dispose of garbage and recyclables properly and maintain cleanliness of waste areas.
- Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with laundry tasks such as washing and folding children's bedding, towels, and uniforms.
3. General Duties:
- Support teachers and staff in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized childcare environment.
- Follow daily cleaning and cooking schedules.
- Adhere to all center policies, safety regulations, and hygiene practices.
- Participate in health checks or inspections when required.
