About the Role
We are seeking a Chief Trading Architect to lead the design and evolution of our global trading execution architecture. This role sits at the intersection of trading, risk management, and technology, and will play a critical role in strengthening the structural integrity of our trading operations.
The successful candidate will act as a system builder and architect, responsible for redesigning execution workflows, embedding risk controls into trading infrastructure, and building a scalable foundation for systematic market making and institutional execution.
This role partners closely with Trading, Risk and Engineering leadership, forming a core pillar of the firm's trading infrastructure strategy.
Key Objectives
The Chief Trading Architect is expected to deliver three critical outcomes:
1. Structural Error Reduction (Immediate)
- Identify and eliminate structural weaknesses in the current trading and execution setup
- Strengthen operational risk controls across trading workflows
- Reduce reliance on manual processes and junior execution dependency
2. Execution Workflow Redesign (Short-term)
- Redesign execution and trading workflows to improve stability and efficiency
- Establish clear escalation frameworks and operational guardrails
- Improve institutional execution reliability across global desks
3. Automation & Execution Architecture (Mid-term)
- Design a roadmap for trading workflow automation
- Improve order routing, internalization logic, and inventory management frameworks
- Work with engineering teams to translate trading logic into scalable system architecture
Key Responsibilities
- Architect the overall execution and trading infrastructure framework
- Embed risk management principles into trading systems and workflows
- Design systematic controls to reduce operational and execution risk
- Partner with trading, risk, and technology teams to translate trading strategies into scalable system logic
- Build frameworks that enable scalable electronic market making
- Improve execution quality, workflow efficiency, and operational resilience
- Develop long-term architecture for automation and execution platform evolution
Required Experience
- Candidates must have experience working in environments involving: Electronic market making platforms, Systematic trading and automated execution, Institutional order flow and liquidity management.
- Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of Trading risk controls and guardrails, Execution risk management, Operational risk within trading environments, Designing systems and processes that reduce human error.
- Proven experience in designing and optimizing trading execution workflows, and building escalation and control frameworks for trading operations
- Chinese speaking is highly preferred to be able to manage regional chinese speaking stakeholders.
