Role Overview
A fast-growing fintech platform in Southeast Asia is looking for an experienced Engineer to lead the architecture and technical strategy for its next-generation payment infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Architecture Leadership
- Define and lead the overall system architecture for fiat and crypto payment infrastructure.
- Ensure the platform can scale effectively to support growing transaction volume and regional expansion.
Payment Systems Development
- Architect and oversee the development of core payment systems including transaction engines, routing logic, clearing & settlement, reconciliation, accounting, and risk management modules.
Infrastructure & Security
- Design highly available and high-concurrency systems that meet financial-grade security, stability, and compliance standards.
Blockchain & Crypto Integration
- Lead development of blockchain-related infrastructure including wallet systems, on-chain transaction monitoring, confirmation mechanisms, and digital asset management.
External Integrations
- Manage integrations with banking partners, payment networks, e-wallet providers, and blockchain nodes to ensure reliable payment connectivity.
Engineering Leadership
- Build and manage the engineering team, establish development standards, and ensure high-quality delivery through strong QA and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong technical leadership experience with a background in backend development and system architecture.
- Hands-on experience building core payment platforms (transaction engines, clearing & settlement, reconciliation, ledger systems).
- Solid understanding of high-concurrency distributed systems and transaction consistency patterns.
- Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure and crypto payment mechanisms.
- Proficiency in Java or Go, with experience building microservices architectures.
- Strong security mindset with experience in financial system risk control and transaction security.
