Operational Excellence
The requirement for the COO role is that they are operational excellent and ensure all
departments work well and efficiently with each other but also implement the right controls to be
able to prevent issues and provide the general balance to the system.
Leadership Requirements
Leadership requirements are that you are a hands-on-leader that understands and masters their
own department fully. You are someone that is able to do any task within your department
yourself and have a full understanding of the day to day each of your team members do. This
allows you to be a leader in position and a leader by example.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages and oversees the main business operations of the company, ensuring they run
efficiently and effectively.
- Ensures the right business processes are in place to prevent financial losses and
unnecessary costs by aligning Product, Revenue, and operational departments, with a
strong focus on improving collaboration between commercial (sales/OPPs) and product
teams
- Ensures departments are integrated and that automated systems are implemented to
prevent rising costs, while leading the overall automation strategy and actively identifying
and eliminating manual processes across the organization.
- Fully understands, manages, and oversees multiple departments including Fraud &
Customer Support, Operations , Product and Data and any others requested by the
CEO.
- Works with the finance team to implement proper financial controls, KPIs, and budgets to
improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Works in an organized and efficient manner, with clear communication, defined
deadlines, and structured processes within a project management tool such as Jira or
similar.
- Provides detailed and structured updates to the CEO and management team on key
KPIs, project progress, and major initiatives.
- Organizes quarterly and yearly management meetings, defines clear goals based on
strategic objectives, and ensures these goals are tracked and followed up with each
stakeholder.
- Implements proper training procedures across all levels of the organization, ensuring
documentation is maintained and regularly updated.
- Implements risk management and legal compliance processes to ensure adherence to
all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and defines a clear roadmap to achieve
compliance where gaps exist.
- Drives prioritization and resource allocation across product and operational teams,
ensuring development efforts are aligned with business impact and company strategy.
- Works closely with product teams to push new features and ensure proper adoption,
usage, and commercial impact of product developments.
- Ensures sales operations are fully integrated into product and operational workflows,
creating strong feedback loops between demand and supply.
