Role: Chief of Staff / Head of Platform

We are working with a deep tech-focused investment fund with a global mandate, investing in transformative technologies worldwide while helping portfolio companies navigate Asia. With a strong base of Asian LPs (SEA, Korea, India) and a growing fund size (USD 100M+ target), we are building a platform that combines global exposure with regional expertise.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a senior leader to act as the central coordinator for all non-investment functions of the firm. This position reports directly to the Founder & Managing Partner and is positioned at the VP–SVP level, with a defined trajectory toward Principal and ultimately Partner responsibilities.
This is a high-impact, front-office leadership role combining:
- Investor Relations / Fundraising / Capital Formation
- Platform & Operations Leadership (Communications, PR, Fund Operations, Compliance, HR)
- Chief of Staff / Strategic Advisor responsibilities to drive firm-level priorities
The role sits at the centre of both the firm's LP-facing system and its platform operating model.
Key Responsibilities:
Investor Relations & Fundraising
- Own and drive the firm's capital formation system (LP pipeline, progression, campaigns).
- Lead initial LP interactions independently and represent the firm credibly.
- Ensure quality and consistency of all LP-facing outputs: materials, reporting, data room, diligence.
- Diagnose and resolve bottlenecks in messaging, objections, or data gaps.
Chief of Staff
- Act as a trusted advisor and leverage layer to the Managing Partner.
- Drive execution across firm priorities and cross-functional initiatives.
- Ensure alignment, ownership clarity, and follow-through across teams.
- Streamline workflows and anticipate leadership needs.
Platform & Operations
- Supervise Communications & PR: set direction, ensure alignment with fundraising and positioning.
- Oversee Finance, Fund Operations, Compliance, and HR: ensure accuracy, reliability, and institutional-grade standards.
- Ensure coherence between financial data, fund operations, and external communication.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 6 - 8+ years of experience in VC, PE, credit, startup Chief of Staff roles, or professional services.
- Prior exposure to Chief of Staff, Head of Platform, Investor Relations, or Communications leadership roles.
- Direct experience raising capital for a closed-end fund (VC/PE/credit)
- Strong people leadership intrinsics with the ability to oversee diverse non-investment functions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with LPs and external partners.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams across a distributed team.
- Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
