We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead the investment strategy and portfolio management of a private family office.
The CIO will be responsible for developing and implementing investment frameworks, strategic asset allocation, and portfolio construction across multiple asset classes to support long-term capital preservation and sustainable growth.
This role requires a strong background in portfolio management, investment governance, and risk management, with the ability to oversee investment activities across both public and private markets.
Develop and implement strategic and tactical asset allocation frameworks aligned with long-term investment objectives
Design and oversee diversified multi-asset portfolios across public and private markets
Establish and maintain the Investment Policy Statement (IPS) and portfolio guidelines
Monitor global macroeconomic developments and translate insights into portfolio positioning
Lead portfolio construction, capital allocation, and rebalancing decisions
Evaluate investment opportunities across equities, fixed income, private equity, venture capital, real assets, and alternative strategies
Conduct due diligence on external fund managers, direct investments, and co-investment opportunities
Oversee portfolio performance monitoring and investment reporting
Establish institutional investment processes and governance structures
Develop performance measurement, attribution, and reporting frameworks
Implement disciplined portfolio monitoring and risk management processes
Oversee portfolio risk management across market, liquidity, and concentration risks
Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing where appropriate
Ensure investment operations comply with relevant regulatory and governance standards
Provide strategic investment insights and portfolio updates to senior stakeholders
Build and develop a lean investment team where appropriate
Foster relationships with investment managers, banks, and industry partners
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
Professional certifications such as CFA or equivalent are preferred
Minimum 12-15 years of relevant investment experience in asset management, family offices, investment banking, or institutional investing
Strong experience in multi-asset portfolio management and asset allocation frameworks
Demonstrated understanding of public markets, private investments, and alternative assets
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities
High level of integrity and discretion when managing confidential investment matters
