Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute Group financial strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Act as strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on financial performance, investment strategies, risk exposure, and capital allocation.
- Lead scenario planning, cost optimization, and working capital efficiency initiatives across plants and entities.
- Drive long-term value creation and return on capital.
2. Group Reporting &Compliance
- Oversee consolidated financial reporting across all subsidiaries, under IFRS/local& China GAAP.
- Oversee statutory audits, internal controls, and financial governance across all subsidiaries.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations including SOX/J-SOX (if applicable).
- Establish and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls group wide.
3. Manufacturing Finance Operations
- Oversee group-level financial operations including cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing.
- Provide financial insights to support production efficiency, capacity planning, and capital expenditure projects.
- Ensure accurate tracking of production variances, yield analysis, and material cost trends.
4. Group Tax Management
- Lead the group's tax strategy including direct and indirect tax compliance, tax planning, transfer pricing, and structuring.
- Ensure timely filing and reporting of corporate, GST/VAT, withholding, and cross-border tax obligations in all jurisdictions.
- Liaise with tax consultants, legal counsel, and authorities to resolve tax issues and audits.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the group.
5. Group Treasury & Capital Management
- Manage group liquidity, cash flow, funding structure and banking relationships.
- Oversee foreign exchange exposure and hedging strategies.
- Optimize capital structure, funding strategies, and working capital cycles.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies across financial, tax, and operational domains.
6. Group Leadership & Team Development
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance function including Shared Service, Consolidation & Reporting, FP&A, Forex, Tax, Treasury, and business partnering teams.
- Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance excellence.
- Workcross-functionally with operations, supply chain, R&D, and commercial teamsto support business goals.
- Standardise financial policies, systems, and reporting structures.
- Strengthen financial governance maturity in emerging markets (if applicable).
- Ensure succession planning and strong finance talent pipeline.
7. Group Business Performance & Commercial Oversight
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance review processes across countries.
- Set and monitor financial KPIs for subsidiary heads and country finance leaders.
- Partner with business leaders to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Lead cost optimization and margin enhancement initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) is mandatory.
- MBA is advantageous.
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- Proficient bilingual written and verbal communication skills as one needs to manage our English and Chinese-speaking stakeholders / team members.
- Proven track record as CFO / Deputy CFO / Regional Finance Director in a multi-country organization.
- Experience managing finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong exposure to treasury, tax structuring, and capital management.
