Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Role Summary
The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, playing a critical role in driving strategic financial planning, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. This individual will lead the company's financial function, with a focus on enabling sustainable growth, maintaining financial discipline, and managing key stakeholder relationships, including venture investors.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape overall business strategy, growth planning, and operational execution.
- Provide financial and strategic insights to support key business decisions and drive company performance.
- Help set KPIs and financial metrics aligned with company goals ensure rigorous performance tracking.
- Act as a key advisor in commercial partnerships, business model innovation, and potential M&A activities.
- Lead the build-out of financial and operational systems to support scalability across markets.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead the company's budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Design and maintain dynamic financial models to inform strategic decisions and scenario planning.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful management reports and dashboards for leadership and board reviews.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities while balancing growth priorities.
- Support product and commercial teams with financial analysis to assess ROI, pricing models, unit/dea economics
3. Financial Control
- Maintain robust financial control processes, systems, and policies
- Oversee all accounting, reporting, tax, and compliance functions across jurisdictions
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including consolidation where applicable.
- Implement internal controls to protect company assets and ensure integrity of financial information.
- Lead implementation of scalable accounting tools, ERP, and financial operations automation as needed.
4. Fundraising & Capital Strategy
- Drive capital strategy in partnership with the CEO
- Helo fundraising activities - from financial modeling and pitch preparation to investor due diligence and term negotiations.
- Develop and maintain financial models and data rooms for current and prospective investors.
- Ensure optimal capital structure to support both near-term operations and long-term strategic objectives.
5. Investor Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison for financial communication with existing investors, including Standard Chartered Ventures and other strategic partners.
- Prepare investor updates, board presentations, and other reports that clearly communicate financial performance and strategic direction.
- Build and manage relationships with potential investors
- Monitor market and investor trends to ensure the company remains well-positioned in a competitive landscape.
