The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Finance Director is the senior executive responsible for overseeing the organization's entire financial strategy, ensuring financial stability, supporting business growth, and guiding long-term financial planning. This role partners closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior management to drive performance and safeguard the company's financial health.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and execution of the company's financial strategy.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage cash flow, capital allocation, and working capital.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements.
- Oversee risk management, financial controls, and internal governance.
- Build and lead high-performing finance, accounting, and procurement teams.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, investors, and key financial partners.
- Support mergers & acquisitions, fundraising, and investment activities.
- Present financial reports and insights to the Board and executive leadership.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred.
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leadership role.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, corporate finance, and investment strategy.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, tax compliance, and audit standards.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced and high-growth environments.
