The Company is pioneering the transition from extractive industry to a regenerative, circular economy through advanced material engineering, closed-loop systems, and carbon-negative innovation. We design and scale next-generation materials derived from waste streams - transforming environmental liabilities into high-performance assets.
Our mission is not incremental sustainability - it is systemic regeneration.
The CEO will architect and execute the company's global strategy at the intersection of material science, circular supply chains, and climate technology commercialization. This is a deeply operational and visionary role requiring a rare blend of technical fluency, capital strategy expertise, and regenerative systems thinking.
You will lead the company from early-stage scale-up through global expansion, building a vertically integrated ecosystem spanning waste sourcing, advanced processing, product commercialization, and circular feedback loops.
1. Regenerative Strategy & Systems Leadership
. Define and execute a carbon-negative, circular growth strategy integrating waste recovery, material transformation, and product life cycle reintegration
. Lead lifecycle analysis (LCA) integration into all product and operational decisions
2. Advanced Materials & Innovation Direction
. Oversee the commercialization of next-gen recycled polymers, bio-composites, and engineered materials
. Align R&D, pilot production, and industrial-scale manufacturing into a unified roadmap
. Translate deep-tech innovation into market-ready, high-margin applications
3. Capital Strategy & Fundraising
. Lead fundraising across VC, climate funds, strategic corporates, and blended finance structures
. Structure innovative financing models (e.g., carbon credits, impact-linked instruments, circular asset financing)
. Manage investor relations with a strong narrative around measurable environmental and financial returns
4. Circular Supply Chain Architecture
. Design and scale waste-to-resource pipelines, including ocean plastics, industrial waste, and post-consumer streams
. Build strategic partnerships with collection networks, recyclers, manufacturers, and global brands
. Ensure traceability, certification, and compliance with global sustainability frameworks
5. Commercialization & Market Expansion
. Identify and secure B2B partnerships across industries (fashion, automotive, consumer goods, construction)
. Position company's product as a leader in premium sustainable materials
. Drive go-to-market strategies for new materials and product lines
6. Organizational & Cultural Leadership
. Build a high-performance leadership team across R&D, operations, supply chain, and commercial functions
. Instill a culture rooted in systems thinking, execution velocity, and measurable impact
. Operate effectively across multicultural, globally distributed teams
. Proven experience scaling a deep-tech, climate tech, or advanced materials company (Seed Series A/B or beyond)
. Demonstrated success in building or managing circular or complex global supply chains, especially across Asia
. Experience working with recycled materials, waste valorization, or bio-based alternatives
. Track record in raising capital from impact investors, climate funds, or strategic corporates
. Deep familiarity with LCA tools, ESG frameworks, and sustainability certifications
. Experience negotiating with manufacturers in China/SEA and global enterprise clients
. The candidate profile needs to have more than 5 years of CEO experience in eyewear and consumer goods, combined with more than 5 years of experience in deep tech with plastic compounding and materials science, including R&D labs, and with more than 3 years of experience in companies with sustainability targets
. Education in business and innovation, combined with engineering or circular economy and sustainability
. Strong understanding of polymer science, material engineering, or chemical processes (not necessarily academic, but operational fluency required)
. Highly execution-driven and comfortable operating from lab to factory floor to boardroom
. Exposure to carbon markets, environmental credits, or circular financing models
