Chief Enterprise Architect

We are currently supporting a confidential appointment of a Chief Enterprise Architect to lead enterprise-wide architecture strategy for a large, complex financial services organisation. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the long-term technology landscape, enabling platform modernisation, regulatory alignment and scalable growth across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

You will define and govern the enterprise architecture framework, lead large-scale architecture modernisation initiatives and guide the design and integration of core banking and enterprise platforms. The role will establish architecture principles and standards, provide technical leadership across enterprise, data and solution architecture domains, and oversee governance for architectural compliance, risk and technology lifecycle management. You will partner closely with senior business and technology leaders, evaluate emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement in architecture practices and delivery.

Requirements

You will bring a minimum of 20 years of senior technology leadership experience across enterprise, data or solution architecture roles within banking or broader financial services, ideally in regulated and multi-country environments. A proven track record in cloud adoption, architecture transformation and delivery of large-scale integrated platforms is essential, alongside practical exposure to banking business platforms, data, cybersecurity, GenAI and compliance. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills are required, with the ability to operate credibly across CxO, engineering and business domains, including regional and global teams.
