Responsible for all aspects of Engineering department by ensuring smooth daily operations and guest appeal of the hotel/precinct.
Hire, train, schedule, support, review and discipline associates directly accountable to his/her position, to maintain highest possible levels of associate moral and department productivity.
Oversee and carry out preventive maintenance programs with the precinct and Fullerton Hotel to ensure consistent, reliable operation of system and to minimize downtime and loss
Directs the operations of the Engineering Department with the assistance of skilled technicians to maintain the mechanical, electrical, civil, structural aspects and furnishings therein to the required standards.
Directs the Engineering Department and accomplishes the following with the assistance of technicians on the preventive and corrective maintenance of all mechanical & electrical equipment and systems.
Maintains civil, structural aspects and furnishings in accordance to required standards.
Establishes and maintains fire safety programs and fire crew.
Prepares annual budget for the department expenses and initiates cost control programs.
Carries out planning, organizing, staffing and directing efforts to ensure efficient operation of the department.
Coordinates with all department heads regarding maintenance administration matters.
Coordinates with architects, M&E consultants and various government departments for project approval, executions and licenses etc. as directed by Director Of Engineering/General Manager.
In-charge of quotation requisition for major projects and jobs beyond the department's capacity and ensures proper execution via effective supervision.
Involved in leading the team to maintain overall facility which includes air conditioning system, fire protection system, emergency power systems and other related equipment.
Prepare checklist for team to monitor their service delivery. Conduct inspections or checks to ensure work is completed satisfactorily.
Respond to guest's needs and ensure a high level of guest's satisfaction.
Initiate actions and hazardous situation and notify HOD of potential dangers.
Attend to emergencies during and after office hours such as power failure or black out.
Initiate or review all Engineering department capital expenditure request prior to approval of the Director Of Engineering/General Manager.
Schedule, coordinate and inspect all rooms-related preventive maintenance, room refurbishment, and public area projects on a regular basis.
Review and prioritize all daily work orders.
Ensure service and quality standards are maintained.
To be in-charge of the hotel renovation or soft refurbishment projects.
Any ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the management.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a diploma in Engineering, Professional Certificate / Higher Nitec in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in general building maintenance
Good relationship with vendors and contractors
Specialize in plumbing, electrical and mechanical preferred
