Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible to: -
- Ensure smooth running of the facilities and engineering related operations of the hotel premises
- Invite tenders and quotations, negotiate, finalize and award contracts for maintenance and other such work
- Lead a team of engineers, maintenance technicians, electricians, carpenters etc. to maximize the overall performance of the Maintenance department
- Maintain the condition of the hotel by carrying out upgrading project work and liaise with architects, internal designers and management
- Supervise and provide relevant coaching and mentoring to team members
- Formulate effective reporting and tracking systems for monitoring of system performance and capacity usage
- Recommend the department's budget and capital expenditures and manage expenses within approved budget.
- Assume overall responsibility for all aspects of engineering activities and for preparing and implementing preventive maintenance, cost reduction, work simplification, methods and techniques, improvement programs and other engineering projects.
- Drive environmentally responsible practices in energy conservation, recycling and environment friendly practices with the aim of reducing energy/water consumption and related costs.
- Be a key driver of safety and security practices within the hotel.
