CHIEF COOK

Responsibilities

• Study recipes and prepare all necessary ingredients.
• Prepare and cook local Chinese dishes in a timely manner.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to kitchen staff.
• Assist cooks with food preparation and cooking when required.
• Inform service staff of daily specials.
• Ensure proper food quality and attractive presentation.
• Adjust recipes according to customers dietary needs and requests.
• Monitor food stock and place orders when required.
• Develop and suggest new dishes, recipes and ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with kitchen hygiene and food safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook.
• Able to cook a variety of local Chinese dishes.
• Hands-on experience with kitchen equipment.
• Good knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes.
• Able to supervise and lead kitchen staff.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Familiar with food hygiene and sanitation requirements.
