Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare daily menus in coordination with management.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, assistants, and cleaners.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to the restaurant's quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Monitor food inventory, order supplies, and minimize wastage.
  • Check ingredients for freshness and ensure proper storage.
  • Control portion sizes and minimize food costs.
  • Coordinate with service staff to ensure timely food delivery.
  • Handle customer feedback regarding food quality and make improvements when necessary.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and report any issues promptly.

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Chief Cook, Head Cook, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and cuisines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
