Chief Barista

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all coffee-related operations across outlets, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
• Develop and maintain beverage menus, including espresso-based drinks, manual brew, and seasonal offerings
• Source, evaluate, and select coffee beans in collaboration with suppliers and roasters
• Establish and enforce SOPs for coffee preparation, machine calibration, and workflow efficiency
• Train, mentor, and certify baristas to ensure high performance and service standards
• Conduct regular quality control checks, including taste profiling and brewing adjustments
• Manage coffee equipment maintenance, inventory control, and cost optimization
• Collaborate with marketing and branding teams on coffee-related campaigns and product launches
• Stay updated with industry trends, innovations, and global coffee standards

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in specialty coffee, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of coffee extraction, latte art, manual brewing methods (V60, Chemex, etc.)
• Experience in menu development and coffee sourcing preferred
• Certification (e.g., SCA - Specialty Coffee Association) is an advantage
• Strong leadership, training, and team management skills
• Passion for coffee craftsmanship and customer experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to operational needs
