About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Chemical Technician to join support a manufacturing team at a leading pharmaceutical facility in Singapore. This is a hands-on, production-floor role where you will support daily chemical manufacturing operations and contribute directly to the delivery of high-quality API products.
This role is open to fresh graduates and candidates with limited experience. Full training will be provided on-site, and there are genuine opportunities to grow technically and professionally within the team.
Key Responsibilities
Production operations:
- Operate process equipment including reactors, centrifuges, filters, dryers and mills under supervision
- Weigh and dispense raw materials, solvents and reagents accurately according to batch records
- Monitor and record process parameters such as temperature, pressure, pH and yield during batch execution
- Perform cleaning and sterilisation of equipment between batches in accordance with SOPs
- Support changeover and line clearance activities between production runs
- Assist in sampling for in-process controls and liaise with QC lab for testing
GMP and documentation:
- Complete batch manufacturing records (BMRs) accurately and in real time
- Follow standard operating procedures at all times and flag deviations immediately
- Maintain a clean and compliant working environment in line with GMP requirements
- Participate in investigations for process deviations, out-of-spec results and near misses
- Support internal audits and regulatory inspections as required
- Handle and dispose of solvents and chemical waste safely in line with EHS requirements
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or a related discipline
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply - training will be provided on all technical and GMP aspects of the role
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to following procedures
- Comfortable working in a production environment including shift work if required
- Good team player with clear communication skills
- Preferred but not required: some GMP awareness or exposure to a regulated manufacturing environment through internship, coursework or prior work
