About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Technician to support active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on role within a high-performing team, ideal for individuals passionate about operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations
- Execute batch manufacturing and cleaning procedures in accordance with SOPs and GMP standards
- Operate and troubleshoot production equipment and systems (e.g., DeltaV, POMS)
- Prepare equipment for maintenance and ensure readiness for production
- Support digitalization and process improvement initiatives
- Ensure accurate shift handovers and effective communication across teams
Safety & Compliance
- Uphold EHS standards and participate in safety risk assessments and hazard analyses
- Contribute to a safe working environment and serve on the Emergency Response Team
Quality Assurance
- Complete GMP documentation accurately and promptly
- Assist in resolving documentation discrepancies and support investigations
- Maintain audit readiness and ensure plant cleanliness
Production Coordination
- Monitor production schedules and proactively address potential delays
- Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to meet output targets
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related technical discipline
- 1-3 years of experience in GMP manufacturing, preferably in API production
- Proficiency in distributed control systems (e.g., DeltaV)
- Strong understanding of GMP, EHS, and manufacturing documentation
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with digital manufacturing systems and automation technologies
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
