Chemical & Material Engineer (Semiconductor)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product, system, and material development projects.
• Apply materials and chemical engineering knowledge to solve technical issues and improve performance.
• Identify new product and market opportunities.
• Support product launches, costing, budgeting, and business development.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sales, customers, and suppliers.
• Provide expertise in materials, coatings, surface treatment, process control, and failure analysis.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Science, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years or above material or chemical engineer experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
• Strong knowledge of materials, coatings, surface engineering, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with metals, engineering plastics, chemical compatibility, and harsh environments.
• Familiarity with plating/coating, CNC machining, heat treatment, and process control.
• Knowledge of SPC, material testing, failure analysis, and root-cause investigation.
• Familiar with analytical tools such as SEM/EDS, FTIR, microscopy, and hardness testing.
