Job Summary
Lead and oversee the entire food preparation process to deliver high-quality dishes that meet presentation and taste standards. Manage kitchen operations including staff hiring, training, and resource planning to ensure efficient and professional service.
Responsibilities
- Direct and control the food preparation process to ensure consistent quality and safety standards
- Organize kitchen setup and apply ingredient knowledge to optimize workflow and dish quality
- Produce visually appealing and flavorful dishes that meet established quality benchmarks
- Plan and manage orders for kitchen equipment and ingredients based on inventory analysis to prevent shortages
- Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of kitchen staff to build a skilled and motivated team
- Foster a positive and professional environment for coworkers and customers to enhance teamwork and service experience
- Execute additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations and business goals
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Culinary experience of at least 2 years demonstrating proficiency in cooking and plating
- Familiarity with techniques, methods, tools, and equipment for preparing high-quality food at scale
- Effective communication skills with the ability to mentor and guide kitchen employees
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours including weekends
