Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of South Indian dishes such as biryanis, and curries
  • Ensure authenticity in taste, texture, and presentation of all dishes
  • Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
  • Monitor inventory of ingredients and place orders when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff when required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or similar role in 7 to10 yrs
  • Strong knowledge of South Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques
  • Ability to prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes
  • Expertise in making dosa batter, chutneys, and traditional gravies
  • Good time management and multitasking skills
  • Understanding of food safety regulations
  • Culinary certification or relevant training is an advantage

Preferred Qualities:

  • Passion for South Indian cuisine and culture
  • Creativity in menu development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and taste

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Physically demanding role requiring long hours standing
