We're Hiring: Chef de Partie
We're looking for a passionate and driven Chef de Partie to join our culinary team!
In this role, you will oversee a designated section of our main kitchen, working closely with the Sous Chef and senior team. You will guide junior staff, uphold high standards of quality and organisation, and play a key part in ensuring a smooth and efficient service flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the assigned kitchen section during preparation and service, ensuring smooth workflow and service readiness.
- Prepare and cook Western cuisine dishes in accordance with established recipes, culinary techniques, and quality standards.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, taste, and presentation in line with dining standards.
- Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations to support efficiency and cost-effective performance.
- Supervise, guide, and support junior kitchen staff within the section, fostering teamwork and skill development.
- Maintain proper stock usage, portion control, and ingredient handling to minimise wastage and support kitchen profitability.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations at all times.
- Ensure kitchen equipment, refrigerators, and work areas are properly used, cleaned, and maintained in accordance with sanitary requirements.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of all perishable items in line with the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) policy.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation throughout preparation and service.
- Support other operational duties as assigned by the HOD or Management.
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, or equivalent professional training
- At least 2-3 years of relevant kitchen experience
- Strong knowledge of Western cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations
- Required to possess a Food Safety certificate
- Able to cook both local dishes and basic Western cuisine
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to guide and support junior staff
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a kitchen section independently
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a hands-on approach to kitchen operations
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
