Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to manage a kitchen station in a fast-paced Italian restaurant, ensuring high-quality food preparation, consistency, and efficient kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a specific kitchen station (e.g., pasta, pizza) to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision to maintain taste and presentation standards
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance team performance and skill development
- Ensure proper food presentation and control portion sizes to meet restaurant standards
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations
- Manage kitchen inventory effectively to minimize food wastage and control costs
- Support Head Chef and Sous Chef in coordinating daily kitchen operations and workflow
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional cooking experience
- Experience in Italian cuisine preferred
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Leadership and team management skills to guide kitchen staff
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of Singapore food safety standards
