We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Prepare and cook menu items to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Follow instructions and guidance from the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
- Coordinate daily tasks with the Sous Chef and kitchen team.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with all team members.
- Ensure full knowledge of menu items, including recipes, preparation methods, and presentation standards.
- Uphold strict food hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
- Supervise and support junior kitchen staff, including training and development.
- Assist in stock control, inventory management, and minimisation of food wastage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area.
- Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Take initiative and demonstrate leadership within the team
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
