Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Efficiently prep ingredients (chopping, slicing, marinating) and follow recipes to prepare food items for service.
  • Cooking Execution: Operate kitchen equipment (grills, ovens, fryers) to cook food to order, adhering to quality and presentation standards.
  • Station Setup & Breakdown: Set up, maintain, and close down workstations with necessary ingredients and tools.
  • Health & Safety: Strictly adhere to food safety protocols, including monitoring food temperatures (HACCP), and ensuring a clean and sanitized workspace.
  • Stock Management: Rotate, label, and restock inventory, ensuring items are stored at correct temperatures.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience in a professional kitchen or as a prep cook is often required.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of various cooking methods (grilling, baking, boiling) and proficiency with kitchen equipment.
  • Physicality: Ability to stand for long periods, work in high temperatures, and lift, move, or push items up to lbs.
  • Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent food handling certifications
