Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Japanese dishes such as omakase, ramen, and sashimi to meet quality and presentation standards
- Apply knowledge of Japanese ingredients and cooking techniques to ensure dish authenticity and customer satisfaction
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies to maintain uninterrupted kitchen operations
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment to meet service demands and support team workflow
- Menu Development & Costing
- Create and update menus, considering seasonal ingredients, trends, and profitability
- Price dishes competitively while maintaining quality and profit margins
- Monitor stock levels, minimize waste, and optimize inventory turnover
- Source quality suppliers, negotiate prices, and manage relationships
