Job Summary

Prepare and cook Japanese dishes include omakase while maintaining kitchen cleanliness, food safety standards, and managing inventory, preparing costing and supplies in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook Japanese dishes such as omakase, ramen, and sashimi to meet quality and presentation standards
  • Apply knowledge of Japanese ingredients and cooking techniques to ensure dish authenticity and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment
  • Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies to maintain uninterrupted kitchen operations
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment to meet service demands and support team workflow
  • Menu Development & Costing
  • Create and update menus, considering seasonal ingredients, trends, and profitability
  • Price dishes competitively while maintaining quality and profit margins
  • Monitor stock levels, minimize waste, and optimize inventory turnover
  • Source quality suppliers, negotiate prices, and manage relationships
