Position: North Indian Chef
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic North Indian cuisine such as curries, tandoori dishes, breads, gravies and traditional specialties.
- Plan menu items and ensure consistency in taste, presentation and quality.
- Manage food preparation for lunch and dinner split shifts.
- Ensure proper food hygiene and kitchen safety standards are followed at all times.
- Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering ingredients and maintain inventory.
- Minimise food wastage and control food cost.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work area.
- Work closely with management to maintain food quality and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Experience in preparing authentic North Indian dishes.
- Able to speak Hindi to communicate with kitchen team and understand recipes.
- Able to work split shifts (lunch and dinner service).
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to maintain high standards of hygiene and food quality.
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Working Hours
- Split shift:11:30am - 2:30pm (Lunch)6:00pm - 11:00pm (Dinner)
- Staff required to report 30-45 minutes before opening for preparation and closing duties after service.
